Montessori Programs
Vyom Elementary Environment [6-12 years]
Our Elementary Environment is thoughtfully prepared for children aged 6–12 years and is divided into Lower Elementary (6–9 years) and Upper Elementary (9–12 years) to meet the developmental needs of each age group. It nurtures children’s natural curiosity, independence, and love for learning.
Rooted in Montessori principles, the environment encourages children to explore concepts through hands-on materials, collaborative work, and meaningful learning experiences. The classrooms are designed to foster critical thinking, responsibility, and social development, while allowing children the freedom to choose their work and progress at their own pace.
With a strong focus on academics, life skills, and moral values, both the Lower and Upper Elementary programs support children in developing confidence, concentration, leadership skills, and a lifelong passion for learning.
Areas of Learning in the Elementary Environment
01
Language (English, Kannada & Hindi)
The Language area nurtures strong communication and literacy skills in English, Kannada, and Hindi. Children develop reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and creative expression through structured lessons, hands-on materials, storytelling, discussions, and written work. Exposure to multiple languages supports cognitive development, cultural understanding, and confident self-expression.
02
Mathematics
Mathematics is introduced through a concrete-to-abstract approach, enabling children to gain a deep and clear understanding of concepts. Using Montessori materials, children explore number operations, fractions, decimals, geometry, measurements, and problem-solving, strengthening logical reasoning and analytical thinking.
03
Geography
The Geography area helps children develop an understanding of the Earth and its people. Through maps, globes, land and water forms, continents, countries, cultures, and environmental studies, children gain awareness of physical and human geography, fostering respect for diversity and care for the planet.
04
Cultural Studies
Cultural Studies connects children to the interrelatedness of life and the universe. This area includes history, timelines, botany, zoology, biology, and earth science. Children explore how life evolved, how societies developed, and how humans are connected to nature, nurturing curiosity and a sense of responsibility toward the world.
05
Science
The Science area encourages observation, inquiry, and experimentation. Children explore concepts from physics, chemistry, and environmental science through hands-on experiments and investigations, developing scientific thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
06
Practical Life
Practical Life supports the development of independence, responsibility, and self-discipline. Activities include care of self, care of the environment, organization, time management, and community responsibilities, helping children build confidence and essential life skills.
07
Art & Creativity
Art and creative activities allow children to express their ideas, emotions, and imagination. Through drawing, painting, craft, music, and movement, children enhance creativity, fine motor skills, and aesthetic appreciation.
